minor oxidation spots... HELP!

minor oxidation spots... HELP!

got some on trunk and roof... whats the best product or procedure to remove or reduce it. its just barely eating off the clear ..just wanna avoid any further paint damage. debating wether do to a full clay wax and emphasize on the oxidation spots OR a wet sand buff for the trunk n roof panels ... please help. thanks.

What's causing the oxidation?

I'd suggest clay / polish / wax first, if only because it's less abrasive and less likely to wear through the clear coat. But this is only because i screwed up my clear coat when i used rubbing compound and didn't polish afterwards. Do the wet sand if you feel comfortable doing it, but if the damage isn't too bad, the clay/polish/wax will probably fix the problem.

not really sure .. i mean the car wasnt taken care of very well before as far as paint is concerned. i was doing some research on wet sand and buff and it doesnt seem like an easy task. not sure i can trust the detailing place i go to with that. The clay wax sounds like a good idea. any other ideas?? anyone?

Let's see some pics. If it is indeed clearcoat failure then you're out of luck...just keep it protected and hope it doesn't spread too fast.
