sprinkler stains

My car is sometimes parked on the driveway and each time, I end up with these water marks on my car. When I wash it, it's impossible to get it off but I haven't tried waxing it yet.

So I was wondering if anybody knows how to go about removing these stains.

Thanks in advance.

I need some help also. I never park my car near sprinklers but it happened yesterday. The one and only time and the sprinklers came on. I took it to the car wash today and they said they would recommend the vinegar bath. So I had them hand wash it with a vinegar solution then they washed it normal. The stains are still noticeable in some areas of my car. What else can I do to get rid of them. I was planning on waxing my car before the weather changes. Will this lift the stains off??

Try the vinegar again. If that doesn't work, you'll need to use polish to remove the stains. Wax will not remove them, at least not a pure wax.

I see. Excuse my ignorance but is vinegar ok on the paint? It doesn't take out the clear coat, does it? I may have to give it a vinegar bath everytime I wash it since there's no way of avoiding the sprinklers if I park on the driveway. Also, is it bad to do it too often?

Thanks again.

Actually, vinegar does not take out the clear at all. What it does is neutralize the water spots. If I were you, I would look at getting something like an acrylic/polymer sealant to add that layer of protection.
