so heres the plan.. tell me what you guys think..

im gonna clay and use my pc on the car for the first time. i have a black 96 gle. the paint is only about 4 years old, but there are alot of swirls and some fine scatches in the paint. this will probably be the most extensive cleaning the car has had since it was painted.

this is what i bought to use ( ill be using my pc ):

from Adam's Premium Car Care Products: -clay bar and detail spray combo
- pc hook & loop backing plate
- 2 pad combo (white & black)

from pep- boys : 3M swirl mark remover for dark colored cars
3M liquid wax
mother's plastic polish (for the headlights)

i plan on using the pc to apply, and remove by hand with a micro-fiber towel.
i probably should, but dont have enough courage to use a compound on the car. (bad experience in the past)

i also have 3M hand glaze, and Turle Wax Platinum Series liquid wax that i probably wont even use.. what is the glaze used for anyway??

at any rate, what do u more experienced guys think of that?

Honestly, to get rid of the scratches, you could use the 3M light cut rubbing compound or Meguiar's ScratchX.

As for the rest of the stuff you have, you are pretty much on point.

i was just going to ask about using the 3m fine cut.. should i use that first? and then use the 3m swirl mark remover after that, followed by the wax?

does the 3m fine cut leave a dull finish?

im hoping i would be able to use the fine with the same pad i bought to use the swirl mark remover with.

also what is the 3m hand glaze used for? where does it fit into this whole process?

Correct. Use the Fine Cut to remove the scratches. But in a nutshell, the cuts you have to worry about hazing the finish would be medium and heavy cut. But if you are going to do that, I recommend seeing the depth of the scratch before shelling out the dough.
