Anyone Here Tried Nu Finish?

I have been thinking about trying Nu Finish wax and i was wondering if anyone here has used it before. Does it last any longer than say Turtle wax or Mothers? I know it can't last a year like they claim but I was wondering if it will at least last a few months. Is it safe to use?

It's an ok product. It's a cleaner wax, like most of the other mass marketed stuff. There are better things you can use on your Max, though.

Go with a synthetic polymer for durability and shine. Zaino, Klasse, Poorboy (are they synthetic?)

Well I do want to use Zaino but I really can't afford it right now Plus I need to get the car waxed before winter and because of the weather here in NY I only have a few nice days left. Is Nu Finish long lasting?

Not really. About 2 months maybe 3 for a daily driver. How long were you planning to go between coats? We used it on a friend's Corolla before the summer season it lost most of its presence it about 7 weeks.

I was basically looking something to get me through the winter. I wax frequently in the summer but here in the northeast waxing isn't an option after October.

I'd suggest Klasse, Poorboys EX-P, Autoglym, or Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket if you want something to carry you through the winter. I put Klasse (All In One and Sealant Glaze) on my '94 and it held up pretty well during a Chicago winter.

I've got jeffs werkstatt acrylic jett on and I'm hoping from the reviews I've seen that it will last the winter. It's easier to work with than klasse SG.

NuFinish is a decent, inexpensive product. I wouldn't call it a "wax" because it doesn't take out scratches or imperfections. Put down a good base coat wax to clean the paint and top it off with NuFinish. I think a sealer that lasts 2-3 months for $6-7 is a pretty good deal.

I received a bottle as part of a gift pack, tried that crap once, and regretted it. It did not apply, haze, or wipe off well. In addition, it did not last. This is total K-Mart cheap brand; avoid if possible.

Are you sure Nu Finish is compatible with a hard coat clear coat? I have used Nu Finish before, but it was on enamel type paint and worked as a fine polishing compound. It did ok for that application. Nu Finish may have out a new product for clearcoat
