popping dents and dings

not so much the dings because those are harder to get...but is there any simple method or kind of do-it-yourself method (besides hammering them out which still leaves the ring of the dent where the crevice used to be) to get rid of dents

i was forced to park my car in a gravel parking lot full of brand new 16 year old drivers with massive SUVs for an entire school year and my car is covered in them...

..not to mention my mom backed my car into my dad's Land Rover a while back

....the land rover won

Not once have I heard of a bad review for them on the org so far ........

I had a PDR guy come over to pop out about 15 or so dings all around the car. Overall It was well worth it and there were only about 2 dings where I can barely notice it and when I mean notice, its beacause I knew that they were there before so I know what I am looking for but to a stranger, its perfect unless they examine it up close.

Do you remember approximately how much it cost to pop out the 15 dings?

PDR is a godsend. I had a guyu come to my house and do about 6 or 7 on my car, for an insanely good price (he hooked me up) and they were all on different panels! (many places will charge you per panel...what you COULD do is get a pdr company to come out to your house, and tell them that you have like 3 or 4 dings on one panel,l and then take care of the guy under the table for the rest. Be careful b/c not all pdr guys are equal. some do crappy work. I got lucky. I got a few more since then and I will probably give him a call in the spring when i give her a full detail and want the car showroom perfect again. don't even conjsider that "pops a dent" crap. yes, the thing technically works, but it does not offer the degree of precision that a pdr guy has. he comes with a special mirror and like 20 or thirty differnt rods. they all look the same to me, but i guess its like a surgeon with a bunch of special tools. Good luck.

Buy that dent removal thing the oxi-clean guy sells on TV, $20 bucks, works well to get out dings that don't require paiting. Easy and cheap, mine worked well on both my cars. I believe its called Ding King, sold at some department and automotive stores. I bought mine at Benny's if that helps at all.

I called Dent Wizard in Atlanta and they said $99 minimum per ding. That's MINIMUM. Does anyone know somewhere cheaper in or near Atlanta to get this done?

Just used PDR to remove 6 dings. 3 on passenger front, 2 on passenger rear, 1 on driver.

Standard rate on location is $99 per panel for up to 3 dings.

You might be able to get it for less if your Dent Wizard guy does it on the side, though.

Does excellent work... there's a LITTLE distortion in the paint where the biggest ding was, but you won't see it unless you're looking for it, and the distortion will probably be gone after I detail.

ive done this with 2 huge dents on my car and the guy actually made it worse because you can see the places he popped / banged out the ding and it sucks ***

at the rate of $99 per ding i think i would be better off buying a new maxima

I got rid of one of mine by using a torch and a rubber mallet. I got backed into, and I'm not like all the other .org'ers I don't care about my max's looks. It's 11 years old, half as old as me. I do not care but I got a huge dent on my drivers door. I took off my door panel and started whacking away at it. Turned out pretty good, two months later someone else backed into the same spot, this time I saw them do it and got my whole drivers side painted for free

bijangxe,

how much do you normally charge? i can post pics if you want im not quite sure how worth it it would be because i might get a new car but i might have the 2 big spots taken care of

one of them is on the drivers side door and the big one is on the left hand side all the way around the gas tank (but the tank door survived )

yes...the whole point is that they can pop the dent without having to get the car repainted but its not gonna fix the chipped paint (and the chipped paint wont hinder their work as far as i know)
