You need to check this http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=375480 forum. Plastic polish can only do so much. With your weathering issue, this is the best way to go.

Topic : I got my Meguiars PlastX at Autozone. Saw it at PepBoys too.

i dont know if its worth buying for 80 bucks (the pair) and repairing or not. but i need to make a decision soon.

You can definitely get it off. My 97 headlamps were just like that when i bought the car. I got some Novus and it took a good deal of elbow grease, but it brought the finish back to almost new and all the yellowing was gone. If it doesn't work for you, you could always get fine grit sandpaper and do some wet sanding, which will guarantee a very smooth finish if done right.

Alright thanks man, I just really want these 97 headlights cause they are clear and plastic. I know everyone is going for glass but I want something light. Weight reduction mayn.
Thanks again for the info.
