Troublesome Headliner...

So i noticed just a few stains and pen marking on my headliner..so went ahead as recommended to use Blue Coral - Upholstery Cleaner - Dri Clean Plus .... sprayed some on a clean terry cloth and gently rubbed it on the stains. worked fine. apparently i also noticed some debris that seems like a smokers cause but i dont smoke nor would i allow anyone else to. tried to get rid of the residue and it took off a good amount it which was noticed on the white rag ...however, now theres a patch of what looks like large water stain. did it not dry well enough? should i re-apply and use a light blow dryer on it? i wanna leave that whole headliner spotless considering that ive noticed more dirty areas on it and yea im aware that i should just clean partial areas at a time. help.help.help.

I used tuff stuff on my headliner and it did the same thing. So i went and did it again with less foam and it sort of took it out, but i don't think it fixed the problem all together. But i think we may just have to live with it, besides more than likely you are the only one that will ever notice it is there.

just guessing but that may be a bad idea, could loosen some of the adhesive for the liner and make it saggy.

Yup very possible .... would want that ... so is there anything better than Blue Coral - Upholstery Cleaner - Dri Clean Plus? Do MicroFiber rags make much of a difference? i was using white terry cloth rags ...

Hoooper is correct. You want to use as little moisture or liquid as possible on the headliner.

I have had good luck with a Woolite/water mixture. Just spray a small amount on a cloth (terry or MF) and gently rub the headliner. Turn the cloth often.
