I think this would be a good vac for the car, I'm going to be getting one soon. I'm tired of paying $1.50 at the car wash....

By far the best vac I have ever bought is the 5hp. 4 gallon Ridgid shop vac from Home Depot. It's small and very powerful.

I wish I could post a link to it, but for some reason, specific items cannot be linked. Just go to the HD site and search for it. It was $90 with attachments.

I bought a Shop-Vac for $32 at, of all places, Aldi. Still works to this date.

thank you all very much..for some reason i never thought of buying a shop/garage vac for it..that would have been the smart thing..a year ago i saw this one that they aired on tv that you hang on your garage and the hose is huge..its kind of like the ones u use at the car wash, but its on ur wall and its made by hoover, and all u do is turn it on..take out the hose, and vacuum(for free of course)..so if any of you were interested in that..but it was kind of expensive(around 200), and thanks for all of your help, because im going to buy one that you guys suggested..any more suggestings on vacs please post

Get the $30-$40 Rigid from Home Depot, but more importantly get some good attachments for it. THE BEST attachment is a soft round brush attachment. You can run this over every surface in the car and get the dust off without scratching anything. AWESOME!

w0rd...I've got a Rigid shop vac and love it. They're perfect for cleaning interior of my cars and the garage.

...As well as sucking up massive amounts of water that flood your laundry room when the hot-water heater goes bad...
