Help With Problem Areas

Ok its detailing time this week. I have a couple questions about two problem areas. I have a reasonable amount of experience with detailing, and a large selection of products at my disposal.

Any suggestions for removing scratches from behind the door handles? Despite being careful these are the worst areas on my car.

Also the black B pillar area. It seems painted. Should I just follow the same treatment of scratch removal for that area as I would for the rest of the vehicle?

Thanks!

CM

Behind the door handle is a PITA. I get a lot of scratches there too. I have used a medium grit polish (SSR 2.5) by hand with a MF towel. Don't rub really hard though. Then use a fine polish and finish with AIO and SG.

I've thought of putting some of that clear plastic material under the handles, too.

The B-pillars are a different kind of paint than the rest of the car, sometimes i'll use a dressing instead of a polish/wax. (303)
