Help get paint/tape off headlights

Year or so ago I got eyelids for my 98 max. and had problems glueing them on, so a friend suggested using tape to hold eyelids while glue hardned. I listened and now my left headlight still has parts of this tape on it. (see first picture) Only way to take it off I know of is to slowly scratch off the 'glue' thats left after tape was taken off. Also, the headlight seems a bit yellowish then the right one.

Part 2: I also decided to 'tint' my corner lights, which looked pretty good after I finished. But after few months paint started to come off...unevenly. There's still parts of paint that are on the headlight, can someone please recommend good day taking paint off plastic? Thanks.

PS: they dont look that bad, just had to use cellphone cam to take pics

Yes, if the PlastX does not take off the tape, give Goo Gone a try.

I use Goo Gone all the time at work on plastic and it has never hurt anything...

If your lights are plastic, try a heavy rubbing compound followed by a plastic polish. Kinda like sanding them and then polishing them back to new. Or you could try this- http://www.lensrenew.com/

Worked on my E430. My 96 max has glass lights.

Try some WD-40 on the stuck adhesive, it usually works pretty well. I'd try some paint thinner on the old paint, and give the headlight a quick buff and polish afterwards

Mineral spirits - the best stuff to get off any adhesive residue on nearly any surface including paint, glass, plastic, etc.
