Dont use a pressure washer. You *could* ruin all sorts of parts with the 2000+ psi. I have done it to my beater, but I dont recommend it. Its different if you wanted to power wash one spot like the engine block, or exhaust manifolds, but stay clear of rubber, wires, the radiator, electrical parts ESPECIALLY the alternator!. The best way to clean an engine is with Simple Green, elbow grease, and a garden hose.

I used to be a detailer and we always used a pressure washer to clean off engines. Make sure you keep a good distance when spraying and make sure you don't get water in the distibutor, otherwise it won't start until it dries. Other then that, never had a problem or heard of one. (works like a charm)

Just you a hose with NO nozzle. Just a little running water to rinse off the Grease Cleaner and Simple Green. Dont use a power washer or Steam Cleaner.

simple green , hose and if you have a gas powered leaf blower , that will dry the water out of the engine bay and near the coils and banks of the engines .
I do that once a year , use at your own risk ... just be careful where you point your hose .
