Detail question

Hello,

I have a quick question about the order i am suppose to do this. I have a Sterling mist maxima, kinda hard to explain the color if you don't already know what the color is. I am going to be doing a full detail to the exterior soon.

The question I have is, is this the correct order to be doing this:

Wash and dry, clay bar, autoglym super resin polish, then maybe zaino z-2 pro and finish it off with some S100 caranuba wax. The autoglym is suppose to have very good results and its cheap, i can get a 500ml bottle for 15$. The Zaino i can get from downtown auto spa, the S100 im not sure where i can get it from, is there a better alternative that is made my zaino or some other brand that is easy to get without ordering it off the internet.

Ill be sure to post the results when i finish, i also have a makita 9227 polisher. What speed range would you guys recommend for these products?

Thanks
Chris

From what I am learning know you need to be around 1000-1500 RPMs

Your process looks good. I'm not sure how agressive the Autoglym is. You may need something stronger depending on how bad your finish is. The S100 is available from any Harley Dealer. It's good stuff IMO, but seeing as you're in Canada, I'd suggest going with a 'synthetic' like the Klasse twins for better protection through the winter.

If you're not experienced with a rotary, keep the rpm below 1100 to avoid burning the paint.

alright thanks a lot guys!! I have a bit of experience with the rotary polisher i usually have it around 1000, i dont like to go higher because ive seen the aftermath of having it on too high (not from personal experience, but ive seen others do it) The autoglym showed really good results, i think it should be sufficient in my case, sterling mist hides the swirls good, but in certain angles and lights you can see the swirls and there not bad considering the cars age and milege (190K miles). I know in the 3 years ive owned the car ive only waxed it once, and this was before i knew about rotary polishers and the difference between polish, wax and selants
