Alloy rim clean up

We just got a 1996 GLE with alloy rims. The clear coat is peeling and of course some corrosion on them. Any tips to clean up on the rim?

Peeling clearcoat is a bietch. You can clean the exposed parts with Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish, but it will oxidize quickly.

IMO your best bet would be to use them for your winter rims (if they're really bad) and get some different ones for the better weather.
