Car show paint?

I'm just curious, what kind of paint is used on cars at car shows, and why is it not offered as some type of option on production cars?

for example:

I'm sure there are a good number of people who would be willing to pay exorbitant premiums for a paint job like that, or is it just a standard paint job that has been waxed/polished beyond belief?

I would guess is is not a special paint. Getting paint to look like that Audi is very possible and there are a bunch of org members who have Maxes that look at least that good if not better.

It's all about the lighting in that picture + the car being new + a professional wash/polish/wax.

I'd highly recommend the Zaino treatment if you want a show car finish

Otherwise if you'd rather get it now, go to Walmart/Target/AutoZone anywhere that sells carwash supplies and get a box of Meguires Gold Class wax it lasts pretty well and is only about $9

The depth & reflectivity on that Audi is mainly a result of good polish techniques. The wax on top gives it that sparkle or shine. Perfect lighting like that helps too though.

BTW, Zaino is good stuff from what I hear, but I don't like how they've brainwashed their followers into thinking you have to apply 6 million coats to get great results.
