Wilson's baseball mitt conditioner?

Hi guys, just out of curiosity, I found this baseball mitt conditioner around the house today, and they say all it is is lanolin and vitamin E. It makes a glove smell like leather, since I am being lazy and not wanting to drive to a leather shop to get a specialized leather conditioner, will this work?

It says to wipe it off, then I'll buff the leather again, but would a dedicated leather conditioner for automobiles be the way to go? I like the leather smell, and would rather not feel like you just sat on an oil slick after using the baseball conditioner

It might work if you wiped it and buffed. That stuff is made for 'untreated' type leather. Automobile leather is dyed and sealed (except for the really high-end cars)
