Got Some Meguiars PlasticX
Ok, so I picked up some of this stuff at auto zone today to use on my headlights, but it says i need a bunch of crap (of course Meguiar's products) like a sponge and a buffer to apply the product and buff it in.. but what can i use in substitute of that stuff that i may have around the house? also, i gotta use some kind of sandpaper right?

Chris,I just got some of that stuff last weekend for my headlights and all you gotta do is apply a small amount on a clean rag or pad let it dry and wipe it off.Its like waxing your car. Also,it does a nice job too.

im pretty cautious in using it....
it seems like...once you use it you have to keep using it to maintain that appearance...or it will go back to how it originally looked... sorta like a cover up....not a true fix like wet sanding.

Been using it for a while, you may want to do it more than once but it hasn't sped up the return of the headlight haze for me. It's definitely not a permanent fix but it doesn't accelerate the return of the haze
I've heard that wet sanding removes the UV coating and definitely speeds up the return of the haze but I've never done it.

this is true. its an amazing finish. very easy process too. the simple thing to do is the wet sanding process, and from there keep em waxed. the paste is a cover up. does a good job but still the yellow re-apprears. metal polish works as well as the plastix

aw crap.. i didnt know that when i bought it.. i guess i'll do that wet sanding stuff to get em like new again
