Cruel Fate (long)

I finally take a day off and had planned on giving the Maxima 8 to 10 hours of much needed cleaning, polishing & waxing. But nooooo it has to rain all freakin day in Alabama. I new it was going to rain early, but the forecast called for the rain to stop and for it to be partly cloudy all day. Perfect, no direct sunlight and the temp was going to be mild and since I don't have a garage it made the conditions perfect. Now I'm typing this stupid message instead of the following:

1: Hand Wash - Meguiar's Hi-Tech Wash #00
2: Clay bar - Mothers (at least the hood and the rear quarter panels)
3: Clean - Meguiar's Medium Cut Cleaner #1
4: Polish - Meguiar's Show Car Glaze #7
5: Wax - Meguiar's Hi-Tech Yellow Wax #26
6: Shine - Meguiar's Final Inspection #34

I cleaned the wheels Sunday so they just needed a touch up. Screw it, I guess I'll go clean the leather. I must have bad karma. Sorry for the long post, I just had to rant.

I can understand your being disappointed.

However, if that's your current idea of 'cruel fate', I hope nothing ever happens in your lifetime that makes you think differently.

Perhaps you took my post too seriously. Next time I'll make the title "Disappointed with the weather", that way you won't get your panties in a wad.

I really despise cleaning my car, it's such a drag. But for some odd reason even after 4 years on the road the thought of some ex-cons taking it for a spin and cleaning it turns me off. People I work with use the logic "my time is worth more than $160" which is what they get to detail vehicles. They always take their hourly rate and multiply it, but that's not the way I look at it at all. If time is money how much money is wasted reading this forum?

So big deal, take $45 and divide it by 3 since it takes 20 minutes to do the front pads, that's how much of your "time" it cost to replace the front brakes. $15 vs. $149++

Too many Canadian geese around here though I cut myself off after 2 hours of washing/waxing! That green stuff they leave on your car is really sick.

Jim, please ignore my rude post. Worse things have happened in my life. Sometimes it's hard to translate disappointment and wanting to relate frustration with the weather. I meant no offense with my original post, I was just trying to be flipant and funny. Actually, I did get to use the clay bar and it worked great. I just hope I didn't **** you off.

It's cool. It takes a wise man to think twice about what they've said.
