Just painted and have Q's

I just got some body parts painted and I was wondering if it is okay to wax them?
Or should I only wash the car for now?

I think the rule of thumb is don't wax for the first couple of weeks. I think it may be longer, but someone can correct me on that one.

I had my whole car painted a few months ago, the painters told me not to touch the paint at all for a month so it can fully dry. I didn't listen and tried washing my car after 3 weeks and noticed the towel i was using had a little bit of the paint, the paint will continue curing for 6 months so be careful with it. Try to hold out for at least a month before touching it.

3 month period is the time you shouldn't wax it because its going to slow the curing process, after 3 months you can do anything you would to dried paint but you shouldn't cover it with a Car cover for the first 6 months because it will still be curing slowly.
