Machine Polishing and removing clear coat scratches?
I have a white 1997 with some scratches in the clear coat from a dirty/too harsh sponge when washing. Needless to say, Im not using it anymore. Anyhow, Ive got a simple random orbital with terry cloth bonnets. I was wondering what would be the best steps to take to get them out? I have the following compounds already:
Clay Magic bar
Scratch X
Meguairs [#9?] Swirl Remover
Turtle Wax Polishing Compound
3M Rubbing Compound
Amway show car glaze
Mothers polymer sealant
Mother Carnuba wax
I am really wondering what I should use and in what order. I normally do the following for a full detail; Wash, Clay, Swirl Remover if needed, #2 Mothers Polymer Sealant, #3 Mothers Carnuba Wax. Just for removnig these scratches, Im wondering if its possible to do with what I have(or can get locally for a decent price). Just any tips would help.
