Dash gauge cover?

Is there any way to make the plastic covering the gauges clear again? Mine has a few spots on it just with age and it kinda bugs me. Tried putting plastix on it, didn't really do anything. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

maybe take it out and try again, so you can put more muscle into it. ??

when i put my gauge rings in, i used some windex followed by plastx and it came out real nice.

g'luck.

the discolored spotting on my old 96 was from armor all that splashed onto the plastic.

it ruins the plastic, so your only choice is to replace it.

I recently tried using PlastX on my 06 MAX gauges with bad results. The gauges look great in the early morning or at night but in the sunlight I can see multiple swirls and scratches. The way the sun reflects off the gauges I can barely read them during the day, it's that bad.....I will be looking @ junk yards for a replacement gauge cluster...Nissan wanted around $350 new .

$350?...............good gracious. If we're talking about the plastic gauge cover I got mine brand new from the dealer for $30. Certainly no need to replace the whole cluster unless I'm missing something.

You could try using Plexus or Novus 3 step scratch remover. The Plexus worked great on my cluster and another poster in a thread I started liked the Novus a lot. PlastX is good but it doesn't seem to keep it's clarity and will haze after a bit.

to check out the thread, look down the thread list a bit and click on the "Plexus, can it be found OTC".
