Tinted Windows

I just go them done. When I picked up the car the guy at the shop gave me a few tips, one of them being to use ammonia free glass cleaner on the tint side of the window. This being my first tint i never heard of that before. I this accurate?? I have always use Windex on my windows, which has ammonia in it. What do you guys use??

It's true, ammonia will turn your tint purple. Windex comes in no-ammonia form too.

Yup, ammonia is a no no on tint. Go get some Stoners invisible glass. Your tint and your windows will thank you for it.

All you need is Stoner Invisible Glass... no steaking, best thing I have ever used for windows (you can pick it up at Lowe's/Walmart/etc)

But yeah those wipes will work, I'm just not a fan of wipes because they always manage to smear on me.
Products you can use will either say "ammonia free" or "safe for tinted windows" somewhere on the front or on the back.

Don't even test to see if you can use regular Windex.

Steel wool will do the trick of keeping them clean and it'll add a nice texture to them as well.

even that gave me problems doing my windows...only thing that ever works for me is water/soapy water

The ammonia free windex is usually a light blue formula or clear with a greenlist sticker(environmentally friendly????). I learned the hard way about ammonia with my first tint job.
