annoying spots
Try a clay bar. If that doesn't work, believe it or not the meguiars scratch X works decent on them as well. If it doesn't get rid of them 100% (which depending upon how long they've been there) you might need to use a light compound or polish.
Compound is a little harsh for that. Clay bar, get a cleaner wax or paint cleaner, maybe a polish (only if they're still there), then wax. PM goathead.
yeah ill bet after what he did on his mustang n max, but i found ur thread and ima get the same stuff u got for ur detailing, but one thing i dont have a garage should i wait till it gets warmer to detail or is it ok to do it in the cold but with sunshine
Yeah man he does good work. But yeah the stuff I got is good ****. Meguiar's is the best. It was about 40 something all together at AutoZone. It doesn't matter whether it's hot or cold, as long as there's shade. There needs to be shade.
When I wash the car in the winter I just fill the bucket with warm tap water, not hot, but warm so at least you don't freeze your hand. One recommendation, don't wash it if you know the overnight temp will be in the teens. I've had my doors freeze shut before from doing that. Actually tore the weather stripping off the door, not cool. Right now though, this time of year, all set.

good tip will remember that you guys been alot of help and if i have any more questions ill come to you guys, hey chrisman you got any pic of ur detailing?also what kind of car soap you guys recommend using
I would have pix on that thread I posted, but I haven't started detailing yet. I will on Friday. As for soap Meguiars also has a car wash soap, but I forgot the name of it. When you go to buy the other supplies it should be in that area.
If you guys want a quick and easy way to get rid of those spots when you wash your car try using the Armor all ultra shine car wash along with the turtle wax express shine. I use these two products to wash my ride and the results are amazing.
try it nothing ima try the cleaner n the polish, but i look it up and i think its etched

i generally use the cheapest carpet cleaner i can find and they've always worked fine for me. i think the last product i used was BlueMagic.
It is synthetic clay! Looks like stretchy plastercine or play dough.
You spray a lubricant on the paint (water + quick detailer or soap) and rub the claybar over the paint. Because it is soft and pliable it doesn't scratch the paint. Because it has a high frictional component it grabs any dirt, tar, sap, overspray... and pulls it off the paint. When it gets dirty you just pull and fold it a couple of times and you get a new clean side to play with.
It is a good product to use whenever you can hear your fingers slide across the surface of your paint. We also use it before doing any serious polishing or compounding as it removes any potentially gritty substances that could cut swirls into the paint with the polishers.

If you still want to go further do some internet research and get a dual action sander/polisher. Be careful!!! you could end up like me that spent hundreds of $$$ on crap equipment only to end up replacing it with proper stuff down the road. It may be cheaper to pay a pro to do it for you if the problem can't be fixed with polish or cleaner wax.
