No, you do not want a black car

I absolutely love my black car. It took me four months to find a black Max in this area. My fiance' liked it so much, he bought one exactly like it. To a certain extent, it doesn't matter to me what the paint looks like. I don't plan on selling or trading her (unless I have to and even then, it will be for a 'black' Max). If anything at all, I'll just have her repainted.
As for keeping her beautiful, when I'm too tired to do it, I have a friend that details from top to bottom for $25.00 per car. He does an excellent job. 'Works for me'.

How does your friend make any money? Either he is just doing a glorified wash or he is making $5 an hour.
My wife and I had argued the day we bought our Edge. She insisted on black and I wanted Vapor Silver (Pretty close to the Ti Edition rims).
She's learning how much of a pain in the rear black is and why I have a deep appreciation for colors such as Gray Lustre and Charcoal Pearl.
HectorC and I have one incident with a Black car we worked on for 8hrs. The car was a 4th Gen and we had to break out a stronger polish, and a rotary to get it looking somewhat decent.

I have a black emerald 4th gen, and although its a pain to keep...I love it. It doesnt see winter, and it gets waxed every week in the summer months. Its worth it to me since I'm a detailer, and it doesnt take me all day to clean it up. I just love looking into that deep, dark paint and being able to see a perfect reflection.
My 99 sunlit sand winter car is easy as hell to keep. I love it.

Black is a great color, but over-glorified, IMO. To me a good color is one that shows off the lines of a car well, no matter the car. For most cars, a well-done silver is just as good at that job as black is. Take, for example, the MKIV Supra. Tell me you don't LOVE that Quicksilver paint
If I should ever have to repaint my car, as much as I love the Sterling Mist I have now, it will be Nissan OEM Silver Moss or Polished Titanium.

Any if you like your Maxima never drive a fast 5 series.
