96 Auto

Well I was trying to get a baseline on my car before I put the headers and maybe some other stuff on. I was hoping for 150 whp but no luck. I drove an hour to get there and my car was sitting in 100 degree temp for 2 hours. BeforeI dynoed I touched the intake manifold and it was still hot, I guess thats where my power went. I did back to back runs, no cool down time that is why the second one is way lower. But I made 145 whp and 160 lb. of torque with a mid pipe and filter, and a 2.25 OBX catback. I post dyno sheet in a second. I feel like it could of made more power but whatever. I hope I make some good power with the headers.

On a side note a freakin Tahoo owned my *** from 40 mph to about 70 mph. Something is definitly wrong with my car. I also have 90,000 miles on my car.

I changed it about 3 or 4 months ago. Could O2 sensors be affecting power, I never replaced them and have 90k on my car.

Also when installing th eintake manifold should I use gasket material plus the gasket or just the gasket alone?

I feel your pain. '96 Auto GXE here. 67,000km and I know I'm slow w/o dyno. I live at a high altitude, but best time on G-Tech for 1/4 mile 16.8sec with 9+ sec 0-60. Pulled the codes of the ECU yesterday 0505 - perfect condition as expected. Mods are on the way, but I'm at a loss for what to do since they won't even bring me the the stock #'s Nissan posts for our cars.

Please PM me and let me know what happens. You are not alone in this struggle.

Well I just ported my throttle body, I am port matching the lower and upper intkae manifold. I have the stone mountain racing headers. So I am expecting 30 whp from that. Plus I didn't have an egr gasket, so I will be buy nissan to buy a new gasket. And I am going to make sure I torque everything down to nissan specs. I am also going to make sure tthat the surface of the knock sensor and the knock sensor location if very clean, I am going to polish it, and I probally go get a grounding kit becaus eI have 90k on my car. After all this I was 180 -185 whp.
