Good Results with 00VI on S/Ced Max

Here's my latest dyno comparison. The manifold did quite good. I'm very surprised how much mid range torque I gained with it. Great example of numbers not telling the whole story. I only gained 6 ft-lbs peak, but gained 26 ft-lbs at redline and 23 ft-lbs in the midrange area. Torque is almost perfectly flat except for a dip where the manifold switches about 5100 RPM. Peak HP is 265. So far the manifold is the best bang for the buck since I managed to get it for 50 bucks (but spent 3 times that on the stuff I needed to install it), but the gains probably wouldn't be so big without the S/C either. Simply amazing to me what a huge difference intake runner length (or resonance based pseudo runner length) can make.

Clicky:

My set-up is a Stillen S/C, 3.6 pulley
00VI (On this dyno - Blue)
CAI for S/C
Blitz BOV
Y-Pipe

What manifold did you have before (with respect to the comparison) USDM IM?

Was the manifold the only item changed during this run?

BTW On the gain .... It's amazing.

Damn awesome gains from the looks of it the power wasn't letting up. Too bad you only have the 6500rpm limiter.

The comparison run is with the USIM (Stock). The comparison dyno was done a while ago, but nothing else really changed, so should be reliable comparison. I'm running the 4th gen lower, and 4th gen TB.

I know! The torque curve isn't even starting to fall off yet at redline. With a 99, I'm pretty limited on that too, but the option is at least there now if I want to fork out the big bucks.

Well JWT can now program 1999's using 1996 computers.
Soomething to think about. You can even have them set it up for some 370's and a Z32 MAF

I know, I heard that. Just not sure if I want to dish out the $700 and have to deal with CEL's.
