Low Numbers??

First, where did all the threads in this forum go??

Anyways, i dont have the dyno slip on the computer yet, but will get it on here for everyone to see, but it wont be anything exciting to look at. Completely stock 97 5 speed, with 200k+ miles, car runs great, great condition, Aside from the numbers!

Best out of 3 pulls 149HP, 168 tq. AFR around 11 from 3k on... Someone said KS to me already, but i've already checked for it and didnt pull the code. Could it still be that even though the code didnt show? Around where should stock numbers be??

didnt have any codes for anything, but i just finished swapping the ks with the one from my 96 which i changed last year or so (thank goodness for girlfriends' hands). my first impression during the test drive was the pedal was more responsive and i also couldnt keep it under 2k rpms, i usually shift around there wen cruising cuz its smoother to me, so hopefully i fixed that problem. maybe after i get a y-pipe i'll dyno again and hopefully gain close to 30 hp or more over this poor excuse for a dyno...

you should try running a compression check.

I second this motion. Changing the KS makes for a heck of a difference in power. But do check your compression just to be sure that the motor is in good condition inside. Hey its about time you took one of ur cars to the dyno. I told you it would help to diagnose any possible problems
