#s on their own mean nothing (sound good, but meaning less). Need to see the graphs or the runfiles please.

Good work on those #s tho

impressive numbers. What kind of intake (cai, wai?) ? Do you really think the test pipe helped at all in achieving those numbers?

300whp? Will you be doing internal work?

for 300whp, hell yea he's gonna need internal work. the Z guys opt for big cams and higher compression, among other things, to break that 300whp barrier.

That goal can be reached with bigger cams, higher compression, custom header designed for the cams/rev limit and maybe a different IM.

That VAFCII is doing some good for you I see.

Post up the graph or hit me up I have a scanner and can post it up. I think you still have more power to be gotten.

You've been away for that long eh? read mehz sig (IIRC post #2)

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=520767

I'm going again on the 8th to show/prove that not only the stock muffler isn't restrictive, but neither is the stock airbox(slightly modded)

Are you doing back to back runs with another muffler? I would love to see that.

there is a nasty dip there between 5k and 5.5k (pretty much right at 5200), dont know his A/F but I'm thinking maybe a spike during the run? going to look again at his fuel corrections on the VAFC, and we plan to datalog A/F once I (finally) get my wideband, which should be in a few days)

hmm, got runfiles? if so, bizzy1999@hotmail.com pretty please with a runfile on top.

That dip is typically the result of a lean AF. Seems to happen quite often whenever changing the intake of these cars.

I'll ask him if he has any run files, I dont think so he just had this paper that the shop gave him. I'll find out what type of dyno it was on also.

I have a feeling that dip could be corrected with some fuel correction. The shop havent tuned too many maximas, but they were very impressed with the power the car put out.

his torque shocked me.

i dont have any run files.
i dropped my car off at "mainstream performance". they tuned the car for me.
all i got in return from them is a tuned max and a dyno graph.
as for my setup, right now...i have ss autochrome headers(yes from ebay), modified placeracing intake from a 4th gen(sits right behind the batt),y-pipe,test pipe, tsudo catback, car is running on ethanol(100 octane).
and the VAFC2.

yes i plan to do internal work on the motor.
cams are a definate.**any input would be appeciated.**
i have to do more research as for what to do next. cant jus throw shyt on there.
100 shot will be here next tuesday. i will post up the dyno on that as soon as i get in retuned.(and the 100shot does not count toward the 300whp).

dont know if you can read or not.
but like i said in the above posts, THIS IS ALL I HAVE!
i was not there at the time of tuning.
i dropped it off and went to work. got the car back. paid them. and they gave me a dyno sheet showing the numbers. if you cant understand that then i really dont know what to tell you.

I doubt the car is running on e85(Actually 105 octane) unless you made modifications for it to do so...

damm I got the same exact mods without the timing advance, but my numbers suck compared to those.

Could the timing advance make that much of a differance ?

Next time or even whenever you get a chance, have them send you the runfiles via email or any other means (USB drve, etc).

Every little bit helps.

Also, you have to remember, his #’s are STD, typically they give higher results depending on humidity. I have your old DRF’s but need to check to see what your STD #’s were. I do remember your UNC #’s were about 240 or so.

Do you plan on hitting the dyno anytime soon? I don’t think you’ve dynod with the spacers, UDP or test pipe. If you're still planning on that LRMAF, that might help too.

TF would you prefer? 82mm? BBMAF?

We could go w/ M62MAF, S62MAF, F360MAF, M5MAF.

I like M62 personally.

There are more M62's than S62's or Ferrari 360 motors in the world. O_O

But M62 is not specifically a certain size engine. Meaning they come in 2 or 3 IIRC different sizes. But yes, pimp your moms car’s MAF housing and then sell it on here.

Fine, you're right.

So let's call it the M62TUB44 MAF.
