Tuning above 6500....

hey guys, I use EU, have extended the rev out to about 7300 or so.
here were my values

here is my graph



getting past the fuel cut with those values worked, but it wasnt really smooth, so with the help of kevlo, i changed all of those values at and after 6500 to 10.8 and its smooth as butter. this somewhat baffled me because i was under the impression that it was necessary to maintain a certain number m/s to get past the fuel cut, and im positive 10.8 shouldnt have been enough, hence the reason why my values were initially much higher. but either way, it worked, so my questions are...

1. at what value will the rev extend be removed after 6500? (i.e. if i were to lower the value at 7000 to 8 m/s would it remove the rev extend right there?)

2. as you can see the car runs really rich obviously at 6500 and beyond, is it excessive or can it possibly be much smoother right after 6500 and beyond around 7k? what values would sound about right for that to happen? the reason im asking, is because to me it seems like i could probably comfortably pull a little fuel without going wrong? but, i could be wrong, and i know its not safe to make blind adjustments, but just by looking at the afr graph a small adjustment cant hurt can it?

Interested to know also as I get the same thing at stock redline. I gotta review my files though as I don't think mine was as drastic.

is your mevi not opening? By the looks of your dyno you have no purpose being above redline.

yep, its opening, we initially had an issue of it not opening, then we realized it...
not opening v.s opening


the reason it looks bad above redline is cuz its not really tuned up there, hence the reason for the thread. so, yeh, ur right, its bad up there. hopefully by the end of the year i will have dropped a dek in cuz my engine has 250k+, with horrible compression. so im gonna basically start fresh with that and try the 00vi. so we'll see.

Edit: after i put that graph up i realized it wasnt the best direct comparison cuz one is untuned and one is tuned, but u can get the picture.

IIRC from one of dandymax's thread, it only drops like that to get pass the stock limiter and happens so quick it hardy affect the performance if at all

Well he tuned mine so thats probably why mine isn't as dramatic of a drop Glad to have him near by
