I don't think anyone was flaming. They just looked at your graph and started stating the obvious without reading the obvious.

1.) You stated off the bat, the 'disclaimer'.
2.) Everyone assumes a dynojet and right way tried to compare. There are a lot of technical misguidances with all dynos, but even then it's almost safe to say a dyno will read whatever the operator wants it to, that's true to a point, but there are ways to dismiss this thought.
3.) There are ways to disprove/prove just about anything on here, it's all been done to one of us before, we've all eaten our words, myself included.

It be nice to get to a DJ 248c and see what she does.

I highlighted the most usefull statements in this thread.

Main point is, this maxima obviously makes some good power. Not the numbers that the graph shows though. Which is why I stress so much that DYNOS SHOULD BE USED AS A TOOL TO HELP TUNE YOUR CAR/OPTIMIZE YOUR POWERBAND!!!!
It's nice to compare numbers in the end, but apples to apples only please.

If we're talking about tuning, might as well go eddy current and get the most out of it.

Its pretty simple I have owned and built three FWD SR20 powered cars my last one was rear ended and totaled out. Insurance gave me $5,700 for the car. I saw it as an opportunity to try something different and bought My Maxima for $5,850. So there is going to be a few times were I may not be 100% correct but in no means do I not know what I am talking about. Like I also said a couple of post above I made a mistake, learned from it, used it, and now time to move on.

Peak hp at redline with 280whp... jaypee's numbers never peaked there I'm sure hence the difference...

Yeah, there has been an issue with the numbers coming out of all-jap for a while now. We had a lot of guys getting crazy high numbers out of their cars on a couple other forums when dynoing there..

Just saw on the Genesis forum, same stuff .. weird. It's a dyno that seems as if they tried to calibrate it to read like a DJ, but failed.

Oh well ... are we to do.

im not even angry. i just wanted him 2 know that those numbers arent correct and some of the info he gave at first didnt add up. i also was trying to prevent future newbie threads from popping up saying their maxima made 300 whp n/a with just a intake. but he now knows what was done wrong.lol and his car should still put down decent power (250-260WHP).
