Dyno Predictions/Results on Wednesday with Clip!

Alright I have 2 hours on a Dyno this Wednesday. What do you think I should be making with my mods on my 1998 Maxima.

V2 Supercharger 2.87 pulley ~ 13.7 PSI
3" Charge Piping/Intercooled
Deatschwerks 600cc injectors
Z32 MAF
Emanage Ultimate /w Stock Rev Limit
J&S Safegaurd /w Knock Gauge
Meth Starting @ 6PSI
00VI Activates @ 5k
Headers/Y-Pipe/Gutted Cat/2.5" Exhaust
Coil Booster @ 16v
Spark-Plugs Gaped @ 0.31
Tuned by Me (scary thought right there )

I'll take a video just in case I blow up the motor eheheh

Guess away!

I guess 307.

Do you really see almost 14 psi even with the intercooler? That's great if you do. Do you have the stock trim blower? Or do you have upgraded internals?

No matter what you do you are missing out on a buch of power with a VI and a stock rev limit. I would imagine you would gain probably 30-50 peak horsepower if you increase you rev limit to the 7k range.

Goodluck! Post your results.

Well if he's seeing that much boost, raising the rev limit may overspin the blower, kicking it out of its efficiency range and wearing out the SC internals quicker.

I came up with those #'s due to your trap speed, 2.5 inch exhaust with no cutout, having a 3.0 on stock rev limit and cams. Also I did consider the fact you didn't get a clean pass but hey

Like stated above by a fellow sc'd member between the stock rev limilter and 2.5 exhaust and no cutout your leaving alot of power on the table.

I hope you make more but I just looked at your 1/4 thread and you were only trapping 103. How much better is your car running now than when you ran it? I'm not sure how much your car weighs, if if you auto/manual, but if your car is running correct and you only trap 103 I think you will be lucky to hit 300. I was trapping 108 (fourth gen 5 speed supercharged) at maxus09 it was hot and I was hot lapping the car, and I doubt I was making over 330-340 but I never dynoed my set up.

Goodluck and I hope you proove us wrong.

If you're wanting to compare, make sure it's on a Dynojet and you smooth using a factor of 5 and it's SAE corrected. Or better yet, just make sure to get your runfiles.

My highest trap speed was 105mph on streets.

I'd pull that powervalve.

The injectors/IC/MAF/meth are redundant if mis-dialed, I think that setup could easily +/- 100hp.

I figured it has some power to start spinning my tires at 5000rpm in 2nd gear. ohh its a manual btw. I hope to dial the A/F in tomorrow and make some timing adjustments from 5k to redline.

The thing is, you go in the dyno section and you see people with 330 to 380 with the superchargers and they don't have as many goodies as me. I guess tomorrow we shall know. I have latinmax's old setup so it might be a 2.62" pulley... He pulled 340 whp or so.

Getting the AFR/IGN dialed in on the EU will get you really far. You can unbolt your cat before you get on the rollers too for more power.

I hope so, I'll do a couple of runs to see what I'm at then play with the settings. I'm leaving the exhaust as is because I want to know what the car can do as it is. I'm sure a 3" exhaust would help but that probably won't happen to this car.

you can get a cutout for like 40bucks and have it welded in place of the cat for like 20bucks. With that alone you'll gain like 20-30hp

Good luck tomorrow

Alright, I'll post the Clip and Dyno Sheet when I get home tonight. It was test on a Mustang Dyno which I herd is the most accurate Dyno of them all. I was also told the Dyno Jets vary up to 18%. In any case...

345 WHP
295 Tq

Stock timing, Stock Rev, OOVI activated all the time (have issue with power rode, the cup is perfect another story, another thread lol)

So not bad, it definitely has more to it with a cut out and 7k rev limit.

Nice numbers buddEH! I still say yank that UIM flap, could've had an easy 10-15+ uptop for free.

That 00VI is being gutted. The power rod/assembly is moving under boost and causing the A/F ratios to jump from 11.4 (on one run) to 10's (on second run) and cause huge HP loss. So we just jammed the valve and got a steady reading...With it jammed you can still feel the car picking up at 4-5k rpm like its actually activating.

Are you planning to remove the swirl valves in the lim or has this already been done. If the swirl valve have been removed did you weld the the holes shut or use jb weld. I have a dek that I am going to swap into my car and plan to remove the swirl valves from the lim the power rod in the uim and port the tb opening to match a pftb.

My biggest worry is will jb weld be ok under boost or if I should just weld it.

I was also worried so when I took out the valves from the LIM I had it welded shut. You also have these two little screws that hold the valve shafts in place. I used the right stuff in the hole and screwed it shut. I didn't bother with the holes inside the LIM. JB weld reportedly works but I didn't want to chance it. Just one less issue to worry about

thanks, with my luck I'll just weld it seeing how the rod on my mevi broke and fell into my 1st motor killing it

+1 never sealed the holes inside the mani, never had an issue

nice numbers by the way, stock timing with the meth was good for me until higher 300s. good stuff

Good numbers, now get some good track passes to back it up.

I just JB welded mine closed and its been fine, but I'm not boosted. The ones inside can just be left open. If welding it shut for you is not an issue though, I would just do that.
