Impressive! It's nice to see knowledge, hard work, and purposeful planning pay off so well. Well done, sir.

Numbers for the work you put in is meh.

But the curves (besides the fuel dump dip) are looking damn good, you loose less than 20% tq in your powerband, which is close to my ideal IMO.

Is the dip one of those things that show up on the dyno only? Or do you still have some more tuning to do?

Congrats. Are you planning on hitting a dynojet anytime soon?

Yeah dyno dynamics read give or take about 15% lower then a dynojet. So a rough estimate is around the neighborhood of 270whp on a dynojet. So not bad but that dip is nasty.

Thanks guys. The dip is unavoidable when using this ECU and a emanage. You can't feel it in the car you only see it on the rollers.

Nice results. Anyone have a 240hp 3.5 dyno to compare with?

Just a quick observation I noticed. Most bolted 3.5s are already making over 200hp by 4500rpm. At that point, this cammed Dek is making a little over 150hp. At 6500, its making a little over 225hp. That's usually where 3.5s with stock IM and cams fall to at redline after already peaking a good bit higher than that.

Not bashing this dyno. I'm just saying that this motor would probably need to be revved out to 8k to have more useable power than a bolted 3.5 at stock redline. But at that point, it might be smarter to put a 3.5 block underneath, enjoy a lot more hp throughout the entire powerband, and do this all while keeping the same redline we are familiar with which is a lot safer than 8k.

But that's not what this thread is about so carry on guys.

Unless those comparisons were made on this exact dyno at this exact shop then they arent comparable IMO.

Did you just compare a cammed Dek on a dyno dynamics to a bolted 3.5 on a dynojet?

That dyno is wrong, ceffy actually made 836whp, NA 3.0.....

Ceffy actually when are you gonna do something about the TB there is a few more HP just sitting there area. A Q45 TB that is port matched with a 3.5" intake could give you a nice bump in power. You already have the head work done, now its just feeding more air to those heads.

It might be worth a shot, however isn't the neck on the 00VI too small for a Q45 TB? I could go Pathy with it but from my research the gains will not be substantial. And doesn't having a [slightly] smaller TB than your intake size help [venturi effect]?

I'm happy with the numbers considering the dyno and other variables, and in terms of peak numbers, MY street tune actually did pretty well the car comes into the power a lot smoother now, the midrange is greatly improved. Def a substantial gain of my last 207whp run on a DynoJet.

There not enough material to port match a q45tb to dek intake

Doesn't matter. But for arguments sake, I was actually looking at a few 3.5s that had lower peak numbers than this. Some were mustang dynos, some dynojet, some dyno dynamics.

270's is a speculation...... we don't know that for sure.... let's see if he could take it out to the track n proove it, his MPH should have risen significantly n a 270whp DEK should be trapping a low of 106-108mph in the 1/4..... when we see 270's then we claim 270's, we can all agree that this kin of dyno normally reads a lil lower but there is no accurate calculations... I don't care about driving skills... he can run a [email protected] and we will know that the car is making power but his driving skills don't show it...

I think 95bkmax, cardana and 96sleeper all had headers, intake, exhaust, cams and tune with a 3.5swap and made around 258, 264 and 272hp. Althou the 258 dyno was with a safc and the rest with a jwt ecu so they may have been able to dyno even higher with a emanage

n what WTQ????...... this kinda also proves its power robbing to do a 3.5 swap with 3.0timing... the only one that did it correctly obviously dynoed more and auto at that... but to not compare, the reason i would rather still do the 3.5 is because even if one was to get similar numbers the wtq will possibly be a lot more making the 3.5 car significantly faster
