how do you think it's useful?
are you referring to spammers or newbies?

spammers will not care if they can't create a new thread, they will just bury spam in an existing thread that makes finding their spam that much harder.

Why not make it a five post minimum? Or even a one post minimum? If that's even possible. That'll deter potential spammers from starting useless threads, but it will also prevent newbies from randomly spamming other threads to get their post counts up.

One post. Introduce yourself. Ta-dah. Now you can start your own threads.

read the above statement.....It is easier for us to detect/remove the spam if they are able to start a thread...post count limitations DO NOT deter them from posting their drivel...

yeah so basically instead of the spammer creating a NEW thread...they'll just throw spam randomly in an existing thread. only difference is that you don't notice it as much in the past b/c all you see was the existing thread. now you see "watch this BS on this BS site" as subject and it sticks out like a sore thumb...but it's A LOT easier to pick out the spam now.

In order to see the "new thread" button, you have to be in the subforum menu...not in a current thread.

Click here to go to the 5th gen subforum

The "new thread" button is on the left
