Seems like a lot of people have a hard time figuring out how to post images directly into their posts, so here you go.

1. You need to have an account at a photo hosting page like Photobucket or Flickr.
2. Upload your picture to Photobucket etc.
3. Copy the "Direct Link" to that image. (If using photobucket, you can simply copy the "IMG Link" and paste that into your post or reply on maxima.org). Other picture hosting sites don't offer the IMG link directly.
4. Come back to maxima.org
5. When you go to type your post, you will see a screen similar to this where you paste the DIRECT LINK, that you copied from the image hosting site, into the box that comes up after you click the box highlited in the pic below. OR just paste in the copied "IMG LINK", which you got from the image hosting site, right into your post and the image should appear.
6. If you are going to attach multiple pictures to maxima.org, please add them below each other which will require you to hit RETURN/ENTER between each picture.

 

When I use photobucket I don't use the "direct link"..I just use the [ img ] tagged one. eliminates the step of clicking the "add picture" button when replying

 

yes that is a feature on photobucket. not all hosting sites offers that feature.
