I have a 04 max and experienced the 5th gear lock up limped home had a hill at the end of my journey ended up backing the rest of the way home, put it in the garage and hit the maxima forum and there it was same symptoms and fix suggestions. Thank you people you saved my bacon just got my hrs cut and lost benefits. every little bit helps..

My 04 Maxima has 216,000 on it and I have not replaced any major parts just battery and had a trans flush. No mods wish to change exhaust replace shocks etc. did the rear wheel bearings myself. Just did the cam sensors went with OEM parts, heard there was problems with after markets stuff. So that's about it . Thanks again.
