Confusing oil facts!!!

I took over my girls 02maxima SE

cuz she upgraded to 03GLE. The car has just reached 15k and in need of oil change. Planing on changing airfilter, oil filter, and oil of course. There's a lot of debate here on types of oil to use, I prefer mobil, but which one 5w3o or 10w30

I live in Los Angeles where temps are in the upper 80s and 90s so what do guys recommend?

I have 28,000 miles and just changed from Mobil-1 5W-30 to Mobil-1 0W40.

If you want to stay with Mobil 1, 10W-30 is your best all around choice for longer intervals. 5W-30 works just fine as well.
