Oil Filter Suggestions

I know there are a lot of orgers trusting in Mobile-1 oil filters. However, has anyone attempted to use the following filters? And what are your feelings about them.

Bosch Part# A6000-30788 $4.50
Denso Part# A6000-116744 $7.20
Advantex Part# A6000-109989 $5.07

They were listed in the Nissan Maxima section from Drivewire.com.

I used the Fram filter before I switched to Mobil 1. It's bigger than the stock filter if you want more filter media.

Visit the fluid & lubricants section here. Bill has a nice write up on all of the filters, which ones to buy and which ones to not buy. Most people aren't just buying the Mobil 1 filters for it's name, it's because of it's quality. Both K&N and Mobil 1 are made by Champion labs and both are better quality than any other filter on the market. Amsoil comes in just behind these.

I pay about $4 or less for the OEM filter and it's very good quality.

For the 3.5 you can use either M1-110 or M1-105.

I decided to use the STP S6941 oversized filter, seems to work...
Autozone sells the Mobil 1 filter too, so I could pick either one (Mobil 1 or STP)

I don't think you should be giving anyone advice on changing oil.

I'm guessing you have an 00-01? That filter is too big for the 02-03... turn the wheel all the way to the left. Hear that nice rubbing sound? That's the filter rubbing into the wheel liner.

Which is stipulated in the oil filter sticky post as being a potential issue on VQ35s. But not all VQ35 owners report this issue when using this filter. It seems to almost be dependent on what day your car was made. :gotme"
