Try this site for starters. http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/502

Better coolant than what? Nissan's extended life coolant is very good, but also the most expensive you'll find.

I'm not sure about mixing on the basis of color. Someone more knowledgeable than me may have to jump in here. But as I understand it, the Nissan extended life coolant is a green colored, silicate-free solution. Regular green Prestone is not silicate free. So I wouldn't think you'd want to mix the two. Prestone's silicate free extended life coolant is the orange Dex-Cool stuff (I think). I simple do not know if it is okay for a Nissan engine. From what I've read elsewhere the Toyota red stuff is a good coolant and compatable with Nissan engines.

Now my local dealer has told me regular Prestone is okay for my Max. But I think his service people are also nincumpoops, so I pay the $$$ for the Nissan coolant because I want the long life feature AND the silicate-free advantage. Besides that's what the car came with from the factory, and I just haven't found a similar non-Nissan coolant anywhere else that I trust.
