More proof of blown motor

Got 1.75 quarts of oil out yesterday.

No, I didn't get a sample.

The car is still drivable. It took almost 4k miles to bring 4.5 quarts to 1.75 quarts. Why don't I check my oil you ask (ok, maybe you didn't)? That's because my dipstick is stuck and I don't want to break it by tugging with all my might.

Next is a built motor, but I still have time. I'll probably go with a stock motor if the built motor is not complete.

Before dyno... after dyno... on dyno... not sure. But I know the car was running lean because the Walbro pump wasn't working correctly.

Spark plugs had 0 gap

Cylinder #6 isn't holding compression very well. I think the ring is screwed, but haven't had time to verify.

Kev, Im not in the same boat but Im tearing apart my kit and re-doing alot of it. Been down for 3weeks. Getting there.

Man built motor, envy you, but I may be going that route soon, im going to push this engine to its limit and wait till i blow it for a built engine.

I'm somewhat "waiting" for my motor to go too since I drive like such an arsehole.. what are you going to do with it exactly?

There were two built DE-K engines at a local dealer here supposedly pushing about 300hp... not sure if they still got 'em, but they were looking for about 3k for each.

Something is not right about your engine! I have a 99 SE 5 speed. For the whole 2002 I have only changed oil once (using Nissan filter and AMsoil 5W30), having driven over 20,000 km (> 13000 miles). Through out that whole period, I only have to top up the oil level (between H and L on the dip-stick) every 6-8 weeks with about 250 mL each time.

For comparison, you lost 2 3/4 quarts after 6400 km?? BTW, one of my colleague drives a 97 Prelude and he told me the engine consumes ~ 1 litre of oil every 2000 km.
