Oil Experts Please Look!

Ok, I was wondering what the change interval should be for synthetic manual transmission fluid. I have had Amsoil Series 2000 in my car for about a year now and was wondering when I needed to change it?

Also, I posted before about magnetic oil drain plugs and if there was a benefit associated with them. They sound like they have a decent idea behind them (catching the tiny pieces of metal in the oil and attaching them magnetically to the drain plug. What is your opinion?

Thanks In Advance!

1 year?? That's nothing. Unless you drive like 40,000 miles last year.

I would think 50,000 miles would not be out of the question for Amsoil. You can have a sample anaylized by blackstone labs if you wish. $18 or so

Sounds like your good to go for a while. Depending on how you drive, I wouldn't want it in service past 60k if it were my car.
