Two questions about using 300z fuel filter

1. Do I need to buy bigger brackets to now fit this larger filter or is it ok to just let it dangle around.

2. When I do search on the part number (16400-Q0805), the site I am buying from says its for a 1984 Maxima. Is this going to be a problem from my 98?

Thanks.

1) No, BUT if you have ABS this job will be much more difficult due to clearance issues.

2) No.

Is (16400-Q0805) the part # for the 300ZX filter that is compliable with the Maxima? I have 16400-N7600JP (300Z) that as the filter part #. JR Nissan has 16400-N7605JP (300Z). Which one is it?

16400-Q0805 is the updated Nissan part number. Any dealer will know the older part number has been superceded.
