good additives to Maximas?
For off the shelf, Redline Fuel System Cleaner is a good product; the Chevron Techron is good as well.
As for oil additives, stay away from off the shelf mass market stuff.
Go to the site link below to decide if Schaeffer's #132 Moly EP for oil/Schaeffer's Neutra #131 for fuel or LubeControl/Fuel Power make sense for you.

Fuel system cleaners are generally accepted as a positive thing to use. I can't remember the name of the one I used, but it's the same as a lot of dealerships locally use. it was $20/bottle and I'll use it every 30k miles probably.
In regards to other additives for your oil and what not you'd do better to just pour some sand in the engine. A lot of these products have been found to cause engine DAMAGE (like slick 50), and in many cases that big government organization in charge of protecting consumer rights has lawsuits out against them.

The PepBoys across from Dobbins has the Redline Fuel System Cleaner. They also sell the Redline WaterWetter for your radiator. These are the only two mass market products that Redline sells. PepBoys usually has a better selection than WalMart, Autozone, and Advance.
BG44K is hands down the best fuel system cleaner available. Techron is a good less expensive cleaner.
Don't use any oil additives in the car. Just about every Slick 50 type additive has been sued by the FTC and lost. Many are out of business, but if you notice you do not see infomercials on Slick 50, Duralube, Prolong, MotorUp, Z-Max, X1-R, etc. anymore.
There is no oil or oil additive that will give you any "noticeable" improvement other than a tad better gas mileage. I prefer Amsoil as they show time and again, better oil analisys. I'm quite certain however, that even with Wal-Mart dino oil, your car won't have a problem going 200k with regular changes.
