several days ago i had the tranny fluid changed in the max. put in the redline mt-90. wondering if you can feel the difference ?

its hard to describe what my car feels like now. i get into each gear easy enough, (looking for the right words) but to me it seems like you feel the gear pattern more of something, compared to before.

does this make any sense to anyone ? someone want to take a stab at the overall feeling ? im trying to relate .. lol

In my 2k2 the shifter feels smoother when going from gear to gear. I can still feel the gear pattern, as you've called it. But I want to feel that. I wouldn't want it to feel like...oh..say shifting a straw through a milkshake.

Cold weather shifts are wonderful. Up here it gets pretty cold. Even at -15 the shifts were still very smooth..not stiff at all. For me, that's worth the price in itself.

Give it a couple weeks...it may feel a bit different in a while...

less grind going into gear during cold starts.

also, I feel that when I'm shifting fast I don't have to yank as hard from gear to gear.

overall feeling of the entire shifting process is smoother

Overall, I didn't notice much difference at all... But then again the oil that drained out was pretty clean looking...

The only thing I did really notice was that shifting was not appreciably stiffer in the winter months when the temperature really dipped low sometimes. In the past the conventional oil got a bit thick. Yay synthetic.

I read somewhere that the Redline MT-90 can cause slight slight leaking of the transmission fluid. Anyone experience this. I hear its very little, not enough to make it run low or anything like that.
Anyone?

Depends... it is synthetic, synthetic oils tend to be a little thinner I think. So if the tranny seal isn't good, it could leak.
