Power Steering Fluid = Automatic Transmission Fluid?????

I read the stickys and now I'm confused.

Some one please clarify.

Can I use ATF for my power steering, or vice versa?

ATF used to be the miracle fluid. They used it in every system you can think of. Even to help clean out your engine. (it contains a high amount of detergents) It used to be,
"It's low"
"Dump a little Dex3 in it and send it out the door."
Now, fluids are more customized to take full advantage of the engineers work.
