I believe that yours takes 4¼ quarts with a filter change. It should be in your owner's manual.

I have a 6th gen and only changed the only twice so far. However, both times I followed the capacity reqms to the letter (4.25 qts) and it filled only to about half way up the dip stick. Then I add a little, drive, wait and fill a little more until it shows properly on the dip stick. I bet I'm at 4.5-5.0 qts before I'm done.

I put in over 4¼ but less than 4½.

just check the dip stick and make sure it's within the levels on the stick.

dipstick in the 2k are F()CK1N6 useless, it p122es me of to no extent. The proper way to do it is to go to the last whole quart, for us itis 4, and then add little by little until it is good on the dipstick. EXCEPT my dipstick is completly USELESS. Next car i buy WILL have a working dipstick.

It is difficult to tell how much oil is in it. If the car is on even a slight incline/decline, for me it can show as much as a half quart off. I only ever check mine when it's cold and on a perfectly flat surface.

Just use the rule of thumb that you do not want to overfill the car with oil. I wouldn't add more than 4.25 quarts, which is in the owner's manual. Maybe it takes a little more to completely fill it, but 4.25 will always get you in the right range of oil.
