Help Wrong oil? 0w-20

I called my dealer and they said they put 5w-20 in my max. I went to the store and bought Mobil 1 0w-20 which the bottle says is 5w-20. I dont see where anyone has put this in their max. Is this ok?????

This is a joke, right? If your dealer is Nissan, they are an idiot...and wrong. Check your owners manual. 5W30 is the "preferred" oil for an 02 Max. Or 10w30, but no xW20 oil at all. Only Honda, Ford and a few GM products use 5W20 oils so far. Nissan does not...yet.

If you buy the 0w-20 it says on the front of the bottle it is also considered 5w-20.

Ah, ok, well in either case 5w-30 or 10w-30 is recommended for our cars. Nissan specifically recommends 5w-30 for all conditions in the manual.

Also why buy 0w-20 when there are manufacturers that make the 5w-20 like Amsoil. But as Skoobrmax said 5w-30 is what maximas use.....
