Read the label carefully on the ATF you intend to install and/or contact the customer service dept for the lubricant maker. Generally speaking, and based on my experience, the newer specs (eg D-III) meet previous requirements (D-II) and can be used as a substitute. The brand I use is a D-III, but the back label clearly says it can be used in D-II applications. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can buy D-II anymore as it's been superceded.
