...that's my first question

My second question is where exactly is the drain plug located on a 99 SE? I went and looked at the two pages describing gear oil change in detail, but I STILL can't make out where that plug is.

Ok, from the first guy's pictures (http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/mtoil.html) I was able to only find the big plug, but not the smaller drain plug.

From the second guy's cardomain (http://maxima.cardomain.com/member_p...=200625&page=7) I don't even see in my OEM tranny what is on his pictures, wtf? I'm sooooo confused. These guys made the pictures, which IMO are horrible because they show the plugs from very up close so it's hard and impossible to make out what's what.

Does anyone have better pictures? If so, please post because it's very late and I have to finish before morning. Thank you.

You aren't looking very hard. If you can find where the shift linkage goes into the tranny (in pic) you can find the drain bolt.

You can also pull the neutral position sensor on the bottom of the tranny to drain it so long as you are very gentle with it.
