Seafoam not smoking; engine not smooth
Alrighty, I put 1/2 a can of Seafoam into the gas tank and the other half into the crankcase (oil). Started the car up and the idle was lumpy, and there was no smoke. Drove around the block a few times, no smoke. However, as I rev through a gear, the engine feels very rough. Basically, there is a lot more vibration than usual. After 10 minutes of driving there was no smoke and still vibration coming from the engine when I revved it. What gives?

Why would it thin the oil? It says on the label to put it in with the oil. Either way, I drove it some more and the vibration is still there. No noticeable smoke. At idle, the car has a lumpy sound and feel to it (especially with PR mounts), and when I rev it at idle it still feels like the idle vibration, even though that usually goes away when I rev. Now it is constant. The vibration while driving and accelerating is so strong it feels like the front wheels are vibrating, not the engine. The engine sounds relatively normal, but it's difficult to know since we just put the MEVI on.
I should probably change the oil tomorrow anyways. Damn Seafoam. Nothing ever goes well with this damn car.....

do it through the brake booster that is where youll get the best results. it will thin the oil because it is thinner than the oil so when u mix them it makes it thinner. it is ment for the oil but only to be used like 30 min b4 a oil change IMO. it should help a little and smoke alot through the brake booster
if u dont know what im talkin about when i say brake booster dont do it if by accident u screw up and add it to the brake fluid or somthing it will prob kill you.

SeaFoam does thin the oil a little so I do an oil change like 100-200 miles after I add it. Someone contacted the SeaFoam people and they said to pour in SeaFoam and change the oil (it was either within a few days or change it after running the engine for like 5-10 mins) so most of the sludge and stuff comes out the first time. Then pour in some more SeaFoam with the new oil to loosen up some of the other crap in there.
The first time I did it, I used it like an engine flush. Added it to the oil and drove the car for like 10 mins and then I did the oil change. Now every other oil change I pour in some SeaFoam like 100-200 miles before it's time to do the oil change so it doesn't stay in there for a long time.
