I have had the green stuff in my car since the day I bought it...

I always see red in GM vehicles.

Use the 50/50 pre-mixed Green stuff from your local auto parts store.

I would advise against buying pre-mixed you can just buy the same jug that just has anti freeze and mix it up yourself when you get home, your paying for half less anit freeze and water.

This will get moved to fluids and lubricants forums but that is fine.

I think that the toyota red is supposed to be really good. All of the OEM japanese coolants are compatible but nissan is more expensive than honda and toyota and I would rather use toyota than have to be seen in a honda dealership. Anyway I think red coolant is cool.

they both do the same thing. whichever one you use do not mix them together since they are both chemicles. make sure you stick w/ one or the other. if you do go w/ pink make sure that ALL of the green is out of the system by doing a complete flush of the system. pink coolants name is DEXCOOL. its supposed to last 100,000 miles. it doesnt. it would be a waste of time to go w/ DEXCOOL unless you are getting it for free.

Red, green and even yellow now. They all do the same thing and they all do it fairly evenly. Just get whichever color you like best... maybe the one that matches your car's color or engine dress up kit.

Just be sure that whatever color you do pick, you mix it to the appropriate ratios and that you do the whole system with one color. I don't think they like to be mixed with each other... only water.

Cool thanx guys.. I did see the posts in the fluids and lubricants on this but Iwas even more confused. Looks like someone had a boo boo and ended up buying a new radiator bacause he flushed it out and added the red stuff. Makes me nervous... I called my mechanic who is fixing my driverside axle this week and I asked him too.. He suggested
the Global Peak antifreeze..

Check the sticky, it is filled with info. Any japanese coolant is fine, and Prestone even makes an All-Make coolant which I used, no problems here. I would use ONLY distilled water to flush out the system, if you dump a bottle of the prestone super flush in that is when you run into maybe having a leak develop. Good luck. I personally feel that some people here are oversensitive about what antifreeze goes in their car. If you properly maintain your cooling system, I feel like any off-the-shelf (short of generic) coolant will be fine.

It's just freaking water that won't freeze over or evaporate, just flush it every 30k miles
