So I'm guessing you've never heard of a little thing called an oil dipstick?

Mine says 4 1/4 you should be fine with only 4. My dipstick says its full when I put in 4 quarts. Even after 4,500 city miles it still says its full so I think you'll be safe with just 4 just make sure you check your dipstick on a weekly basis.
